 Weeky update - Atmail 6.07 launched

This weeks Atmail update includes improved Webadmin support, tweaks to the installer, and optimizations for the Webmail interface. The release is a maintenance update and all users are recommended to upgrade.

  • Webadmin supports local login bypassing the REST API - Solves Webadmin access issues for certain installations
  • Can now select default Webmail view for new users ( 2pane or 3pane )
  • Improved Webadmin Aliases usability for input and error checking

  • Improved the recipients panel in the email composer - More elegant handling of addresses, tab support, and auto-completion
  • Sent folders now display the “To” field of emails, rather then who sent them

 Weekly update - Atmail 6.06 available for download

Atmail 6 Webadmin The development team of Atmail have been busy refining the new version with additional client and user feedback.

Our goal is to release weekly sub-point updates to Atmail 6 with additional features and enhancement until the new release matures. Within the next month, the weekly updates will be put on hold while we focus and develop the next killer features - Including the new Websync , SyncML support and enhanced groupware options using CalDAV.

Migration:

  • Improved address-book migration and mail-relay table import from previous Atmail 5.X table schema files

New Features:

  • Added testatmail.php diagnostic script during server installation - SMTP, POP3, IMAP and Calendar services are checked for integrity post installation with an example account and user data.
  • Server installation script scans if iptables is installed and prompts the admin to open any ports required for Atmail if blocked ( SMTP, POP3, IMAP, etc )
  • Added support for the latest PHP 5.3

Improvements:

  • Improved Calendar server logging in the Webadmin Dashboard
  • Improved installation of SSL keys during server installation for POP3/IMAP

  • Fixed shared user deletion when delegating calendars via the Webmail interface

 Atmail 6.05 available - Improved performance and migration scripts

Atmail 6 - Webmail interfaceWith over a week of optimizations and enhancements from the last minor patch, Atmail 6.0.5 is now available. The main focus for the release is a production ready Atmail 5.X to Atmail 6 migration script, 2-5X speed improvement for the CalDAV server, and a host of Webmail and Admin enhancements.

Below are the latest changes in the 6.0.5 patch

Migration:

New Features:

  • Improved performance of Calendar server 2-5X speed increase, with Mysql cache and lookup optimizations
  • Implemented DKIM in the SMTP server and Admin control panel
  • DKIM rejections available via the Dashboard > Spam graphs
  • Added Groupware and Shared Addressbook toggle on/off via Webadmin
  • Search users implemented for Subadmin user
