 Atmail 6.20.4 now available

With each passing day, the Atmail software gets better. And today, we are excited to announce the latest version of Atmail: 6.20.4.

A full changelog is available online which lists all changes and improvements in this iteration. You can also test-drive the new version online.

Whats new?

  • Exim 4.69 buffer-overflow bug resolved. We strongly encourage users to apply this update as it features critical security updates.
  • ClamAV upgraded to 0.96.5.
  • Optimized and highly improved autocomplete in the Webmail UI. Supports groups, large data-sets, profile pictures, global/shared/personal contacts and more.
  • Improved contact pane which lists user photos. ‘Star‘ your contacts for added visibility.
  • New “Favorites” contact view. This view lists the people you contact frequently, or users ‘starred‘ in the address book.
  • New “Remembered” contact view. This feature automatically adds emailed contacts to a new group.
  • Added new log-purge script for performance via the system crontab.

 Announcing Atmail 6.20.4 beta

We are announcing a public beta of our new Atmail 6.20.4 version which is scheduled for release Mon 13th December.

Whats new? Lots of improvements and tweaks & we’d love to have our users beta test this before release!

  • New auto-complete feature - Support for Personal, Global and Shared contacts. With live search against the server for large datasets.
  • Auto-complete - Now includes the users photo and improved recipient handling
  • New ‘Remembered’ contact feature - Automatically appends users you frequently email to your Address Book
  • New ‘Favorite’ contact feature - Users are group on the frequency you email them, list and see your most relevant contacts in your social or business network.
  • Contacts Pane - New and improved view to display and list contacts, including the users photo
  • Add recipients - View or search contacts, and click “Mail” to open a new composer to automatically email the selection with ease
  • New log purge feature - Prune and rotate logs with ease via the Webadmin
  • And over 20+ other enhancements to the Webmail experience

To test the new version is a two step process.

  • First, login to http://a6demo.atmail.com/ ( the regular online demo ) and create an account
  • Next, visit http://beta.atmail.com/ and login with the email & password created on the a6demo.atmail.com URL. You will now be logged into the new version to test-drive.
