Comparing Email Providers? Let’s Meet

If your email software is approaching its end of life and your head is a little bamboozled from comparing email providers, sometimes meeting up in person can help with your overload of product brochures, free trials and TCO checklists.

If you’re a telco or service provider, an in-person meeting with email experts could be especially important before you decide whether to build or buy your next email platform, because your organisation is tasked not only with reliably delivering thousands (if not millions) of customer emails on a daily basis, but also for using email to boost customer engagement and brand revenue.

To help you decide if you’d like to build a trusted relationship with us as your email provider, we’re committed to meeting decision makers in person wherever possible. This could be at your office, at our office, at a telecom industry event or wherever else is convenient for you.

With that in mind, here is a handy list of the events that atmail is planning to attend in the second half of this year. If you’d like to meet up to compare email providers, we invite you to contact us for an initial chat and/or register to meet us at an event here.

Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you!

Upcoming events we’re attending:

September – November 2018

1. Telecoms World Middle East

Telecoms World Middle East, which expects to attract around 1,000 participants this year, combines the following four events into one platform:

  • Carriers World Middle East
  • Submarine Networks Middle East
  • Telecoms World Awards

2018 speakers include:

  • Raed Haddadin, CEO, Renna Mobile

2. Telecom Convergence Summit

28 September, New Delhi, India

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, New Delhi’s Telecom Convergence Summit is hoping to attract relevant telecom players across India and beyond.

The event is themed “5G Technology for the Future”, with tracks for:

  • Evolving business models;
  • 5G – Fostering innovation;
  • Massive IoT; and
  • 5G – Challenges and the way forward.
Yes, it might be a much smaller event than most of the events listed on this page. But, from our experience, sometimes smaller events are the best places to build trusted relationships.

3. IP Expo Europe

3-4 October, London, UK

From a world-renowned physicist (Prof. Brian Cox OBE), to a world chess champion (Gary Kasparov), to the first Canadian astronaut to walk in space (Chris Hadfield), to keynote speakers from Google and AWS, plus 300+ free seminar sessions, there should be plenty to keep you busy (in between networking with email providers) at IP Expo’s two-day event at ExCel in London.

Self-labelled as “Europe’s number one IT event”, IP Expo Europe is co-located with Digital Transformation Expo and combines the following additional events under one roof:

  • Cyber Security X;
  • Developer X;
  • AI-Analytics X;
  • Internet of Things X; and
  • Blockchain X.

With 2,000+ delegates expected, Cloudbazaar (previously Reseller Club presents HostingCon India) promotes itself as India’s “premier conference and trade show for the cloud, domains and hosting industry” and “India’s biggest event for the internet infrastructure industry”.

There are no details online yet about the event’s 15 conference sessions, but the event promises to enable you to “interact with key decision makers and discover new partnerships with your peers from the industry”.

6. AWS re:Invent

26-30 November, Las Vegas, United States

Any telco or service provider serious about moving to the cloud would likely have AWS on their radar. And as one of the biggest players in the hosted web services space, AWS’s annual re:Invent conference usually does not disappoint.

AWS re:Invent caters both to commercial teams (with a business track and basic AWS sessions) as well as tech teams responsible for delivering stable and reliable cloud services (with how-to sessions, collaborative, community workshops, hackathons, boot camps, lab sessions and AWS certification exams) to help you learn/use AWS more and more.

AWS has also organised Harley rides, a Tatonka challenge, a 4km and 8km run, broomball (ie. ice hockey without the skates – with broom handles to push the ball into the goal), “Midnight Madness” and various other social activities.

7. Messaging & SMS World

27-28 November, London, UK

Messaging & SMS World is one of the 20 or so events organised annually by Capacity Conferences.

Now in it’s fifth year, the conference claims to be “the largest annual meeting for the global messaging industry”, despite only attracting around 350 delegates.

The event aims to bring together SMS aggregators, wholesale carriers, MNOs, messaging players and innovators in VoIP and RTC technology.

This year’s focus is on A2P monetisation, GDPR implications, RCS, enterprise messaging, the future of messaging with IoT and AI, plus more.
