Why do you enjoy working for atmail?
Carlo Wisse, UX Engineer: What’s been wonderful for working for atmail is my professional development. When I first started it was my foot in the door in the technology industry, and I quickly got to grow within the company and my skillset. I got a lot of help and training.
Daniel Viney, Director, Product Innovation and Partner Development: Basically that whole idea of taking an idea and working with other people to help formulate that idea, and spit out at the end of that a new product or process or service, or something which helps other people and solves a problem. Like… I just love that. I find that’s really, really satisfying.
Glen Lynden, Head of Professional Services: One thing I love about atmail is that we do all work together as a team.
Daniel Viney: What I do on a day to day basis is a perfect match to things that feel like they come naturally to me, or strengths and things that I enjoy doing.
Glen Lynden: When my team needs some help from other engineers, then they are always open to helping. So, we’re all pulling in the same direction. And I think that’s essential, and it’s something you don’t often find in companies.
What motivates you to come to work?
Carlo Wisse: I get to work on very new technologies at the moment. It’s one of my largest motivator. I love technology, and I feel like atmail likes to pioneer new ones, at least within our tech stack. And also the people, the culture, motivates me really.
David Richards, CEO: atmail is full of tremendous people and I want to see them succeed.
Dirk Marski, Director, Engineering Operations: I started out as an engineer, that’s what I studied to be, that’s what I always wanted to be even as a kid. So, what would still get me up in the morning is that engineering thought process that we apply to everything we do on a day to day basis.
Daniel Viney: I love tech. I love change. I love identifying new ways that we could improve upon things we’ve done in the past.
Glen Lynden: Being very involved in the company, so it’s not only just about conversations, but for the me, the main thing is representing our customers and being the voice of customer, to make sure that we’re providing solutions and services that meet our customer needs and requirements.
Dirk Marski: So, atmail started out really as a very strong technology company, and there’s a lot of legacy in the products we build. Over the time it has become much more of a service company, orientated into looking at providing cloud services, professional services, and various other things.
Miguel Garcia, Head of Sales, Americas: The advantage of atmail compared to other operators is that our software is very scalable, our webmail is very slick, easy to use.
David Richards: We have constantly pushed the innovation edge. We’ve always been at the forefront of the industry, particularly in our user interfaces.
Miguel Garcia: A lot of people don’t realise the value of email, right. It’s almost pushed to the side, but the fact of the matter is that email continues to grow this day and age, so email’s not going anywhere. A matter of fact it will continue to grow.
David Richards: We know what customers want. We know how to satisfy their needs. That’s… we are fanatical about that customer experience. That’s why people choose atmail.
David Richards: What excites me about our customers’ future, and therefore atmail’s future, is really the opportunities that are available to our customers. I think there’s a massive movement that’s just beginning around privacy and people’s online identity.
Glen Lynden: What do I like about the way we’re heading is we have good direction within the company. We’ve got some great people here, and when you have good people working together, working as a single team, you can produce some great results, and I think that’s the one thing that really excites me on a day to day level.
